Soulful photoshoot for a vegan candle brand

Olivia Michael Candle Co. is a small batch, hand poured vegan candle & diffuser brand based in Sussex, UK.

Rosalind and Adam (the two lovely faces behind the brand) were looking to refresh their existing product photography to give their brand a new, elevated and soulful look.

The aim of this project was to shoot a whole range of current and seasonal products including candles, reed diffusers and wax melts in an elegant and elevated way. With DIY photos up until now, Rosalind and Adam have decided it's time to update their product imagery.

With a clear vision of where they want to take their brand, we jumped on a call and talked through initial ideas, set ups as well as the format of the images and we could not have been more on the same page.

We settled on the Full Day package which allows for up to 50 final images and it's the perfect option if you need to give your brand a thorough refresh.

It was really important to highlight the eco conscious values of the brand yet keeping the imagery very stylish and modern. We agreed on some warmer tones, natural materials for props as well as hints of greenery to convey the sustainability aspect of the business.

The images were meant to be light, breezy and soulful, fully encapsulating the essence of Olivia Michael Candle Co.

We've agreed on adding some gentle shadows to the images too, mimicking dappled sun flooding into the studio and connecting to nature once again.

The final results were exactly what we've envisioned and more, the photos worked with everything the client had in mind and it was a team effort to execute the shoot to the highest standards.

The warm and soft tones were the perfect backdrop for these eco friendly candles, and the natural props added a lifestyle element to the shoot.

With a whole new image library, Olivia Michael Candle Co.'s website has already had a refresh but there's also tonnes of content for social media, marketing as well as PR purposes.
